Genoa Airport (GOA) Travel and Transport: Picture taken at the airport, showing the viewGenoa Airport is located just west of the city centre of Genoa and transportation to the city is provided by public buses and taxi cabs.

Buses run to various city locations including the main railway stations, from where transport to other parts of Italy is possible.

Buses

The VoloBus is a handy public bus service that runs to and from the airport and Genoa every 30 minutes throughout the day from 06:00 to 23:40. Those who are travelling onto other destinations in the region by rail should take the Rapid bus link, which runs to the main railway station in Genoa city centre and to Brignole Station every hour. In addition, buses run from Genoa Airport to other towns and cities in the region.

Trains

There is no direct rail service from Genoa Airport to the city centre. However, buses operate hourly to the central train station, from where you can find connecting services to destinations all over Italy.

Taxi Cabs

Taxis run 24 hours a day and offer the fastest option for getting to Genoa and around. There is a taxi rank located outside Arrivals and official taxis all bear the same yellow mark.
